Tips for Viewing NEMT Training

Some people have reported difficulty viewing the NEMT training on the NCTracks portal. Newer versions of Microsoft PowerPoint have a security setting that won't allow presentations to be opened from the Internet. (The error message may suggest that the file needs to be repaired.) There are two ways of addressing this situation:

Open up Microsoft PowerPoint. Go to the File menu and click Options, then at the bottom of the left hand side click on Trust Center.  Click on the button that says Trust Center Settings on the right.  Then, click on Protected View on the left.  Uncheck all 3 of the top boxes.  Then click OK.  That should resolve any issues with opening a PPT file from the Internet or Outlook.

Alternatively, we have posted PDF versions of the PowerPoint training on the portal. If you use the PDF version, the speaker notes can be seen by clicking on the dialogue bubble in the upper left corner of each slide. (Right click to open the speaker notes in a separate window.) If you cannot view the PDF file, you may need to update your version of Adobe Acrobat at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.
