New Provider Taxonomy CBT Course

Taxonomy codes are integral to the NCTracks system. Most providers now successfully use taxonomy codes, but it remains a common billing error in some professional and institutional claims. In addition, there are hundreds of new providers now using NCTracks. So, a new Computer Based Training (CBT) course has been created called "NCTracks and Taxonomy."

This eLearning module explains what a Taxonomy is, how to view a Provider’s taxonomy and how to add a Provider Taxonomy in the NCTracks system.

By the end of training, users should understand how to:

- View existing taxonomy details
- View available taxonomy for a specific provider
- Access manage change request
- Add additional taxonomy request
- Use the NCMMIS Provider Taxonomy Lookup

The course is now available in SkillPort, the NCTracks Learning Management System. Logon to the secure NCTracks Provider Portal and click Provider Training to access SkillPort.
