Important Message from CSC, NCTracks Vendor
Regarding a CSC lawsuit in New York, we’d like to clarify that there are two separate systems in New York - one for the City and one for the State.
NCTracks was built using some of the code from the Medicaid Management Information System ("MMIS") which CSC built for the State of New York and which CSC currently operates as the fiscal agent. That system is called "eMedNY". That system is not the subject of the complaint.
Covansys, a commercial subsidiary acquired by CSC in 2007, also developed and operated a system for the Early Intervention Program (EIP) for the City of New York. This system is the subject of the Federal complaint. This situation becomes a little confusing because New York City's EIP system submitted claims to third party insurers and to New York State's eMedNY system for reimbursement.
The subject of the complaint is the Early Intervention Program in New York City. NCTracks is not related in any way to the EIP system.
As to the allegations made by the U.S. Attorney against the City of New York and CSC regarding EIP, we believe there is no factual or legal basis to support virtually all the allegations of which we have been made aware during the course of the inquiry, and that the complaint is without merit.
Please contact CSC’s corporate communications department if you have questions regarding this matter.
