Issues with ITP claims and procedure code 92523

Providers have reported having some issues with ITP claims and procedure code 92523 that are preventing claims from paying. Claims submitted with the 52 modifer are denied for Edit 00434. Claims without the 52 modifier are pending for Edits 04504 and 01998. (These issues are specific to ITP claims and do not affect Medicaid claims.) Notice of these issues has been sent to the Division of Public Health (DPH) and we are working together to resolve them. An update will be posted when more information is available.
