Attention: Optical Providers New Frames Added

The N.C. Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) is adding two new frames to the list of Medicaid approved frames for visuals aids, the Optimate BZ46 and Optimate BZ47. These frames will be added to the drop down selections on the Visual Aids page of the NCTracks secure provider portal on November 20, 2016. 

Providers can purchase these frames for their practice/office dispensary fitting kit by contacting Optimate Inc. at 1-800-387-8877. The new frames replace the Apollo and the Yank, which have been removed from the approved list.

In addition, Solo Bambini Rascal, Scout, and Eagle Scout are being added to the drop down selections. These frames have been on the Medicaid approved list, but have not been included in the drop down selections until now.

DMA is also removing several frames from the drop down selections. In addition to the Apollo and Yank, Jubilee 5637, Jubilee 5641, Jubilee 5675, Blvd 4073, Broadway 821, Broadway A7035, Broadway A7052, and Q916 will no longer be available as choices for visual aid requests.
