New ICD-10 Documentation and Coding Webcasts for Family Practice/Internal Medicine and OB/GYN
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have posted newly released webcasts on ICD-10 documentation and coding concepts for family practice/internal medicine and OB/GYN. These webcasts are the fourth and fifth in the CMS "Road to 10" series designed to help providers with ICD-10 clinical documentation specific to a medical specialty. Previous webcasts posted include orthopedics, cardiology, and pediatrics.
An AHIMA-certified coder presents on each webcast, which focuses on unique ICD-10 clinical documentation needs and hot topics for family practice/internal medicine and OB/GYN:
* Physician perspective/clinical impact of ICD-10
* Documentation requirements for certain conditions
* Documentation changes and new concepts
* Use of "unspecified" codes in ICD-10
Providers are encouraged to take advantage of these CMS webcasts in the "Road to 10" series.
