Annual NCTracks Regional Seminars 2019
NCTracks regional seminars are a great learning opportunity for new providers and existing providers with new staff who use NCTracks or anyone who needs refresher training. This in-person training is provided local to you and allows you to meet our regional provider relations representatives.
NCTracks will conduct four regional seminars in the coming months. Each seminar runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. They are offered on different dates at locations across the state so providers can register for the seminar most convenient for them. Registration is encouraged; walk-ins will be allowed based on capacity. This year the seminars will be held in the following cities:
- Concord, North Carolina (April 18) Cabarrus County Cooperative, 715 Cabarrus Ave. West, Concord, NC
- Fayetteville, North Carolina (May 23) Cumberland County Center, 301 E Mountain Dr., Fayetteville, NC
- Winston-Salem, North Carolina (June 11) Forsyth County Cooperative, 1450 Fairchild Rd., Winston-Salem, NC
- Raleigh, North Carolina (June 20) CSRA/GDIT, 2610 Wycliff Rd., Raleigh NC
Seminars will feature the following:
- Provider communication booth
- Hub for guidance on locating provider resources
- Seminar sessions focusing on specific Medicaid topics
Some of the planned topics include:
- Top 10 denial reasons for enrollment
- Secondary claims and the resolutions
- How to add a taxonomy for CAP services
Seminar sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a lunch break (lunch is not provided). Then from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will be conducting an information sharing and Q&A session for providers regarding the NC Medicaid Managed Care transformation currently underway. Last summer, DHHS announced the Advanced Medical Home (AMH) program as the primary vehicle for delivering local care management as the state transitions to Medicaid Managed Care. Then on Feb. 4, 2019, DHHS announced the selection of Prepaid Health Plans (PHPs) that will participate in Medicaid Managed Care when the program launches in two regions in November 2019 and the remaining regions in February 2020. DHHS personnel will be on hand at the NCTracks regional seminars to share information regarding the current status of the Medicaid Managed Care rollout and help answer questions from providers. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the future of Medicaid in North Carolina.
