New CAP Respite Service History Inquiry Tool
Effective Oct. 25, providers will be able to conduct a new inquiry for respite care services. The new inquiry will inform providers of all respite services authorized and used to date for a recipient within the requested State Fiscal Year period. For eligible providers performing the inquiry, the results will reflect authorization details for all providers, not only the provider performing the inquiry.
The new CAP Respite Service History tool can be found on the secure provider portal and accessed through the drop down menu of the Prior Approval tab on the home page. The inquiry can be performed for the current and prior two State Fiscal Years. The provider will need to select the year desired, as an inquiry can only be performed for a single year period at a time.
Please note that only providers associated with approved CAP respite authorization during the inquiry period will be able to obtain recipient information. The inquiry results are informational only and not a guarantee of payment.
