NCTracks Common Questions: NCTracks Pharmacy Reminders
This communication is part of an on-going series to address common questions NCTracks receives from providers.
Common questions are received from providers regarding the following topics. Please review this information to refresh yourself on pharmacy information.
- The Pharmacy Call center is open 365 days a year and will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day operating on holiday hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm.
- Prior Approval (PA) requests submitted via Cover My Meds are not accepted.
- Claim reversals are not handled by the Pharmacy Call center. Please see the document How to Enter a Pharmacy Claim Reversal on the Provider Portal on the Pharmacy Services page under Quick Links.
- The preferred submission method for PA requests is via the NCTracks secure provider portal and fax. Please be mindful that the Pharmacy Call Center does not take PA requests via phone for all medications. Some of the excluded drug classes are Long and Short acting Opioid Analgesics, Sedative Hypnotics, Movement disorder, Hep C, PCSK9, Monocolonal antibody therapy (continuation of therapy requests), and Lupus (continuation of therapy requests).
