Attention Physicians and Pharmacies NCTracks Pharmacy Reminders
- The Pharmacy Call center is open 365 days a year and will be open on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day with holiday hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Prior Approval (PA) requests submitted via Cover My Meds are not accepted.
- Claim reversals are not handled by the Pharmacy Call Center.
- Please see the document How to Enter a Pharmacy Claim Reversal on the Provider Portal on the Pharmacy Services page under Quick Links. Additional guidance on point-of-sale claims can be found in the communication titled Point of Sale Claims and Reversals.
- The preferred submission method for PA requests is via the NCTracks secure provider portal and fax.
- Please be mindful that the Pharmacy Call Center does not take PA requests via phone for all medications. Some of the excluded drug classes are Long and Short acting Opioid Analgesics, Sedative Hypnotics, Movement disorder, Hep C, PCSK9, Monoclonal antibody therapy (continuation of therapy requests) and Lupus (continuation of therapy requests).
- The Preferred Drug list (PDL) will be updated on 6/1/2021.
